GLORIA'S PROGRAMS FOR THE POOR ALL FOR SHOW - The neglected poor in Lito Atienza's City of Manila are reeling from the dirty water coming out of Maynilad faucets. Yellowish in color and foul-smelling, Manila residents from Sampaloc to Tondo are forced to buy expensive bottled water for their daily needs.
This is living proof that the Arroyo regime has failed once again to deliver a basic service to the people resulting in extra expense to them.
Remember that before the May 10 elections, they even used Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) to supply water by truckloads to the poor areas of Metro Manila with huge GMA signboards. Like the PhilHealth cards, the service stopped right after the elections. It's all for show just like the food coupons.
